COVID-19 Precautions & Procedures
Calculating Quarantine:
Day 0: date of exposure.
Day 1: first full day after last contact with a person who has had COVID-19.
Quarantine period for 5 days is needed if infants/toddlers/preschoolers:

Are unvaccinated.

Are up to date on COVID-19 vaccination.

Are aged 2 and up and are able to wear a well-fitted mask.
May return:
-
On day 6th from the last day of exposure.

They are fever-free for at least 24 hours without medications.

Other symptoms are improving.

Wear a well-fitting mask while in child care through day 10.

Presenting a negative rapid COVID to return if they meet requirements to return.
Quarantine period for 10 days is needed if infants/toddlers/preschoolers:

Are unvaccinated.

Are not up to date on COVID-19 vaccination.
-
Are aged 2 and up and cannot wear a well-fitted mask.
May return:
-
On day 11th from the last day of exposure.

Presenting a negative rapid COVID test.
Exceptions to Quarantine:

If up to date on COVID-19 vaccination or,
-
Have had COVID-19 and recovered in the last 90 days.
May return to child care immediately, but should:

Get a COVID-19 test at least 5 days after the exposure date.

Wear a well-fitted mask when around other people for 10 days after exposure.

Monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for a full 10 days after exposure. Isolate and get a rapid test if symptoms develop.
